Pagine d’Organo brings young talents onto the stage. It is an event that allows young organists from all over Europe, who have won important competitions or stand out for their skills, to demonstrate their talent and, at the same time, enrich their professional experience.
The festival’s venue is the Church of St. Joseph, in Treviso, and there is a specific reason for it. The church, in fact, is home to a large tracker action organ, with 3 keyboards, pedalboard, 30 stops, and about 1800 pipes, ideal for performing the great Baroque literature and J.S.Bach's music in particular.
The peculiarity and beauty of this event is that its concerts are designed to bring the audience closer to the organ and to organists. During these performances, which are projected onto a giant screen, each organist, in fact, illustrates the organ's qualities and the main traits of their recital programmes. Moreover, at the end of the concerts, one can visit the inside of the instrument by literally entering it: an opportunity one cannot miss, that allows to explore a musical machine as complex as it is little-known, and all the more fascinating for it.
