The Orchard, Ashtead

The Orchard is a conservation area in Ashtead, Surrey, England. It lies to the north of Ashtead Common, between Ashtead Common, Petworth and Chobham.

The land of the Orchard was originally used for grazing. The area was a source of stones for local building. Later it was covered with a turf and plowed for use as an arable field.
